‘Outstanding’ rating for service supporting people with behavioural needs

 Mayo HouseSocial, fun by care provider Milestones Trust provides seven self-contained flats, all for people with learning disabilities and complex needs who require individual support. 

The CQC report, which has just been published, said that the service was ‘exceptionally responsive to people’s needs’, ‘effective’ and ‘exceptionally well led’, with the registered manager, Cherie Smith, and senior staff showing ‘good leadership and management’.

 The inspectors said they were struck by the ‘calm atmosphere’ at Mayo House and praised ‘the caring and skilled approach of staff’.
