The Actonians are preparing to perform the classic play Cranford. Written by Elizabeth Gaskell and adapted for the stage by Laura Turner, it’s set in the mid-1800s and contains the most poignant and funniest observations of life in a rural village in Victorian England. The play runs from 19-21 May with tickets available at £8 from www.actonians.co.uk
The production follows the staging of two successful workshops with Mark Danbury and Mark McGann.
The group is also on the look out for new acting talent and is inviting potential actors to come along to one of their regular Wednesday night rehearsals at Iron Acton Parish Hall.
