anniversary

Wickwar Wessex Brewing Company, nestled in the Cotswolds in the village of Wickwar, have been brewing award winning ales since 1990. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Wickwar have introduced Wessex to their name, to solidify provenance in the West Country. Whilst the ale remains the same award winning quality, the branding has been updated throughout.

Over the years many ‘Tall Tales’ have been told, and legend has it that both the land and the stone from which the brewery is built, was donated to the original brewers when the village water supply was severed by the construction of Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s Great Western Railway line that still runs past the brewery today.

Wickwar Wessex ales are available throughout the West Country, both in pubs and also in shops and supermarkets.

The Brewery Shop, based in the Old Cooperage opposite the brewery, is open to the public on Tuesday – Friday 10am – 6pm and on Saturdays 10am – 4pm. It offers the trade and public the opportunity to browse, sample and take home their award winning ales. By prior arrangement, you have the opportunity to arrange various social activities including tours of the heritage site, social gatherings or a simple beer tasting.

If you would like some award winning ale to enjoy over the festive period, please use the 10% discount included in this edition.
