Armed robbery suspect could be in Chipping Sodbury
POLICE say an armed robbery suspect could be in Chipping Sodbury.
The Avon and Somerset force issued an appeal today for help in tracing Danny O’Driscoll.
Officers say the 29-year-old is wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Dorset, where he was living after being released from prison.
They say the robbery took place on February 24 at a bookmaker’s in Bournemouth and O’Driscoll was involved in a house burglary in Poole the following day. He is also wanted on recall to prison.
They believe he may now have come to South Gloucestershire or Bristol and highlighted Chipping Sodbury as a likely place for him to be hiding.
Anyone spotting O’Driscoll is being warned not to approach him but to call 999 immediately, quoting crime reference number 5219 048 951.
He is described as white, 5ft 7in tall and of medium build. He may have shaved his head and although normally clean shaven, sometimes grows beard stubble.
A force spokesperson said: “It is possible he may be in the Avon and Somerset force area – possibly in the south or central areas of Bristol or possibly South Gloucestershire – specifically the Chipping Sodbury area.”
