Beer ready to pour at festival
Real Ale connoisseurs and music fans are expected to travel from all over the UK to enjoy this year’s South Cotswold Beer and Music Festival.
Over 80 real ales and craft beers, 25 types of cider and perry, and quality wines will be available. There’s also a 15 hour Festival of Live Music featuring seven bands, with rock and roll, classic rock, and post-punk styles. Saturday’s headline band, Atomic Rays are five men, all called Ray.
The event starts at 6pm on Friday 13 July and 12 noon on Saturday 14 July and runs until 11.30pm both days. There will be hot food on sale at the event at The rugby ground in Chipping Sodbury.
Tickets must be bought in advance. Friday’s tickets are £10 and Saturday’s are £16. They’re available from Meridiths in Yate, the Tourist Office in Chipping Sodbury or via the website: ww.bs37.com/beer.
Yate Rotary have organised the event. The group have raised over £250,000 at the festivals over the last 22 years.
