The official Debbie Harry and Blondie tribute band are to play at Chipping Sodbury Town Hall this November. Bootleg Blondie have been booked by Cotswold Edge Events as part of their annual events programme and will appear in concert on the evening of Friday 10th November.
The band has played at some of the world’s most legendary venues, including the CBGB in New York where Blondie first kicked off their career, and some of the top festivals around the UK and Europe. They have also opened concerts for The Undertones, Slade, Bad Manners, The Beat, Heaven 17, Tony Hadley, Toyah and Hazel O’Conner.
Debbie Harris of Bootleg Blondie and the boys in the band have met the real Blondie and are officially endorsed by the band. As Bootleg Blondie’s lead vocalist Debbie Harris has the looks, the voice and the attitude of the original Blondie bombshell and like her heroine is typically outrageous on stage. She has been known to wear dustbin liners, thigh length boots and t-shirts with more holes than t-shirt. Her pride and joy is her guitar, which she plays at every show and is signed by all the Blondie members.
Debbie Harris is the niece of the celebrated singer and actress Shani Wallis who played Nancy in Lionel Bart’s musical film 'Oliver'! Full details of the band are available at www.bootlegblondie.com
