SHOP windows in Chipping Sodbury will be the centre of attention when businesses compete for a coveted prize.

SHOP windows in Chipping Sodbury will be the centre of attention when businesses compete for a coveted prize.
The Business in Bloom window contest has been organised by Sodbury Chamber of Commerce and will run from July 6-22.
Those taking part have been asked to incorporate a theme of Greening Grey Spaces into their design in support of the town’s entry in the annual Britain in Bloom competition.
Judges will also be looking for floral content linked to the Sodbury in Bloom colour theme of purple, mauve, white and magenta.
The creator of the best dressed window will receive a prize of £150, to be donated to the winner’s chosen charity.
Rich McDonough, vice-chairman of the chamber, said: “This is a fantastic way for businesses in the town to show support for the great work done by the Sodbury In Bloom team, as well as being able to support a charity of their choice.”
Meanwhile, pairs of flower-filled boots have also been appearing outside homes and shops in the town for the popular Plant up a Boot competition run by the Sodbury in Bloom team.
Judging of the floral footwear will take place during early July, with gold, silver and bronze awards to be presented.
Both contests have previously helped Chipping Sodbury achieve success in the Britain in Bloom scheme and it is hoped they will impress judges again this year.
