Community grants available from council
Grants for community projects, services, events or activities are on offer from South Gloucestershire Council.
Up to £3,000 can be gifted although higher awards can be given in exceptional circumstances.
Cabinet Member for Communities and Tourism, Cllr Paul Hughes, said: “These Area Wide Grants help us support some of the community organisations that are working for residents across South Gloucestershire.”
“£37,556 is available in the Area Wide Grant budget for round two this year and voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations are encouraged to apply, along with town and parish councils.”
“Examples that could be eligible for funding include projects that reduce isolation and exclusion, events that bring communities together, activities that promote health and mental well-being or services that address a particular community need.”
The grant must benefit residents in at least six out of 14 Community Engagement Forum areas. For more information see the full list here: www.southglos.gov.uk/cef
The deadline for applying is midnight on 1 November 2018.
