Dinosaur hunt in Chipping Sodbury
July 20 to August 27
This summer’s children’s challenge comes hot on the heels of previous trails which have sent youngsters searching for Gromits hares, sheep, dogs and other wild animals around the town.
The hugely successful concept has seen over 1,500 children taking part, and increased visits to the historic town during the summer months.
Organised by the Chipping Sodbury Chamber of Commerce, working in partnership with a local soft toy maker The Purple Saurus, children will need to find 25 dinosaurs which have all been made by hand.
Purple Saurus owner Rachel Davis said: "We are very proud to be involved in this years’ search and it’s lovely that the search animals will be hand crafted locally.”
Chamber of commerce joint chair of the Andrew Webb said: "A great deal of work goes into organising our annual summer search. It’s really great to see all our local retailers and businesses pulling together to make Chipping Sodbury a busy market town."
Alice Crowley, who owns gift and jewellery shop Swagger, said: "Dinosaurs are very popular this year, and we hope many thousands of visitors from around the area will visit Chipping Sodbury this summer.”
The search is on from July 20 to August 27. The Sodbury Summer Search Facebook page has more information.
