Double yellow lines planned outside Yate primary school
PEOPLE are being invited to have their say on plans to install new double yellow lines outside a Yate primary school.
South Gloucestershire Council wants to introduce the no waiting parking restrictions at North Road Community Primary School “to improve road safety for vulnerable road users and improve safety for pedestrians and children of the neighbouring school”.
Double yellow lines would be installed on The British and on the parts of North Road near the junction next to the school.
The council said: “The restrictions aim to maintain visibility and provide sufficient space for vehicles to safely pass each other while entering and leaving The British.”
Anyone who wants to comment on the scheme has until July 13 and can do so online at bit.ly/31bJlAH.
