Drop-in session to recruit foster carers
YATE will host one of a series of information sessions aimed at finding more people interested in fostering children and teenagers in South Gloucestershire.
Foster carers will be at the five events to explain their role and how they make a difference to youngsters.
Anyone over the age of 21 can be considered as a foster carer, provided they have a spare bedroom, can provide a safe and stable home, have the time to care for a child or young person and can work as part of a team.
There are also different types of fostering, from short-term placements to long-term fostering and emergency care.
The Yate event takes place at the council offices in Badminton Road on Saturday, April 7, from 10.30am-12.30pm.
