Folk and world music group to help celebrate music society’s landmark anniversary

INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed folk and world music group Joglaresa will perform at the latest Chipping Sodbury Music Society event organised in its 70th anniversary year.

INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed folk and world music group Joglaresa will perform at the latest Chipping Sodbury Music Society event organised in its 70th anniversary year.

The London-based ensemble has been playing since 1992 and was the first band of its kind to develop a programme of songs entirely devoted to Mary Magdalen.

It aims to connect ancient and traditional music and band members have spent years in North Africa and the Middle East absorbing the best traditional tunes and learning languages such as Arabic and Hebrew.

Joglaresa has performed at festivals and made numerous radio broadcasts around the world.
