JAZZ singer Jacqui Dankworth will make a return visit to Chipping Sodbury nearly four years to the day since her last highly acclaimed concert in the town.
The vocalist is marking the 400th anniversary of the death of Shakespeare with a tour that takes in Chipping Sodbury Town Hall on Friday, September 30.
It will feature material composed by her father, the late Sir John Dankworth, for his 1964 album Shakespeare and all That Jazz - written for Jacqui’s mother Dame Cleo Laine.
Jacqui said: “On this very important anniversary, I thought it would be complete madness not to bring back to life the much loved music made during my parents’ long recording
careers.”
She will be joined in the concert by singer-songwriter and keyboard player Charlie Wood and friends.
