Last chance to shape Yate Masterplan
PEOPLE have three chances to find out more about the Yate Masterplan at drop-in events before public consultations finish this month.
The plan is being developed to create a long-term vision for the town over the next 15 to 20 years, covering areas including the community, economy, town centre, transport and environment.
South Gloucestershire Council's consultation closes on September 13.
Before that happens there are three face-to-face events where people have the opportunity to find out more and ask questions.
They are on Wednesday September 8 from 3pm to 7pm at the Parish Hall in Station Road, on September 9 from 11.30am to 1.30pm outdoors in Millbrook Road, by the food takeaway van and on September 11 from 11am to 2pm at North Walk in Yate Shopping Centre.
The council is also offering a callback service where people with questions or feedback about the plan can call 0118 946 7809, while email contact can be made via firstname.lastname@example.org.
A dedicated website for more information can be found at yatefuture.com/consultation.
People can also pick up copies of the plan at Yate One Stop Shop in Kennedy Way, One Stop in Wellington Road, Yate Library, Tesco Extra, Armadillo Youth, Morrisons, MS-2 Stores in Firgrove Crescent and St Nicholas Family Centre, Chargrove.
Response forms can be returned by post without a stamp to: Freepost Plus RTXL-YHGY-GSYS, South Gloucestershire Council, Corporate Consultation Team, Council Offices, Badminton Road, Yate, Bristol, BS37 5AF.
The council said: "The masterplan will build on the existing character of the town and its existing strengths to ensure Yate will flourish and prosper into the future.
"The outcomes of this public consultation will play an important role in finalising the masterplan vision and options."
