A NEW service is about to be launched in Chipping Sodbury for people with memory problems or dementia.

The town’s Baptist church has developed the Oasis Memory Cafe in conjunction with Chipping Sodbury Rotary Club.

Volunteers from the organisations, who have the support of the Alzheimer’s Society,

will run the cafe at the church once it opens on Tuesday, September 20.

It will then be a regular feature every first and third Tuesday from 10.30am-noon, giving people affected by the condition, their friends, family and carers the chance to meet in informal surroundings.

The cafe will be free to attend. For more information, phone 07990 534564.
