Mother’s Union prepares for centenary celebrations

The Mother’s Union in Yate is celebrating its 100 birthday this summer.

The Mother’s Union in Yate is celebrating its 100 birthday this summer.
Although set up in 1876 by Mary Sumner in Hampshire, Mothers’ Union reached Yate in 1915.
The Mother’s Union have been celebrating its centenary all this year but they culminate in a parish-wide festival over the weekend of 11th-14th June.
Events include a barn dance and performances from the West Gallery Choir and Folk On.  The family fun day at the Heritage Centre Green is on June 13.
