Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash
A MOTORCYCLIST has suffered serious injuries in a crash with a car at Leyhill.
The man in his 50s was taken to Southmead Hospital with serious head, leg, back and shoulder injuries after the collision on Tortworth Road, at the turning for Leyhill open prison, above, at about 6.15pm on Wednesday, March 27.
Avon and Somerset police said the man’s injuries were “not believed to be life-threatening” and he was in a stable condition in hospital.
The road was closed for around seven hours as emergency services dealt with the incident and accident investigators examined the scene.
Police have asked for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson said: “We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision who may have information to help our enquiries.”
