Musical maestro

June 28 2018

A TALENTED young musician will perform at the Cleeve Singers Concert this month.

Timothy Mitchell, 14, is the principal clarinet player of the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain and South Cotswold Rotary Young Musician of the year.

Timothy, who also plays piano, church organ, drums and saxophone, says his favourite musical moment to date has been taking the principal clarinet role for the NCO in Birmingham Town Hall for their performance of the 1812 Overture.

He has asked for a donation to be given to the Rainbow Trust, a charity for terminally ill children.

Tickets (£3.50) are still available for the concert at Lincombe Barn on July 7 at 7.30pm.
