THE first owners of Chipping Sodbury’s newly built assisted-living flats are being welcomed into their homes.
Completion of the scheme at Barnhill Court means a crane that has long dominated the skyline has finally been removed.
The development is aimed at those aged 70 and above and provides a mix of 60 one and two-bedroom homes that bridge the gap between conventional retirement living and residential care, allowing occupiers to retain their independence.
It also has a manager and staff, as well as round-the-clock security.
Jacqui Meenan, regional sales and marketing director for developers McCarthy and Stone, said: “Barnhill Court’s wide appeal is certainly reflected in the variety of homeowners we’ve welcomed so far. We’re looking forward to seeing the thriving community grow here.”
