Old Sodbury Under 16’s travelled to second-placed Stockwood Wanderers in confident mood having beaten them 4-2 earlier in the season.

On a very wet pitch Old Sodbury began well and despite falling behind went into the break level after the excellent Josh Timbrell nodded home from Kieron Kay’s free kick that had rebounded off the crossbar. Stockwood found their feet in the second half on a rapidly deteriorating surface and despite a second Old Sodbury strike from top scorer Ross Womack the hosts ran out 4-2 winners.

Old Sodbury then welcomed struggling Timsbury Athletic in their next fixture and romped to their biggest win of the season. Old Sodbury were two goals up after just five minutes with Womack tapping home from six yards and Robbie Foxwell thumping a 25-yard strike into the top corner.

Womack and Foxwell went on to complete respective hat tricks with Timbrell and Kay adding to their recent tally of goals to bring the score line to a very one-sided 8-0.
