One person dies after Yate house fire
ONE person died and another was injured in a fire at a house in Yate.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters from Yate, Kingswood and Temple were called to the blaze, which broke out at shortly after 9.45pm on December 15 in Beaufort Avenue.
A spokesperson said: "Two casualties were rescued during the fire and were handed over to ambulance crews.
"Sadly, one person has since died following the incident."
No further details of the person who died in the blaze have been released.
The fire service said four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were involved in the rescue.
A fire service investigation concluded that the fire was believed to have started accidentally.
Avon and Somerset police were called to the scene but as the cause is not suspicious the case will now be investigated by the coroner.
