Armstrong & North Opticians have beaten almost thirty other entries to win this year’s Festival Window competition.

29 businesses entered the competition with the theme of Americana.   A judging panel was led by vice chair of Sodbury Chamber of Commerce Michelle Baden-Daintree,  along with Rich McDonough and Sarah Fortes, the artist that painted ‘Harey Potter’, one of the big hares in the Cotswold Hare Trail.

Michelle of Simpson Solicitors said; “All the businesses demonstrated such enthusiasm and skills in making their window displays fit the theme. Judging was not an easy task but we all felt Armstrong & North deserved the first prize. We were impressed that the children of St John’s Mead School had helped with making the rockets.”

Armstrong & North gave gift vouchers to the children of St John’s Mead School whose rockets were used in the window display. The £100 prize was donated to Chipping Sodbury Baptist Church.
