Year 7 and Year 9 teams from Chipping Sodbury School enjoyed a winning streak at a rugby tournament held at Bradley Stoke School.

The Year 9 team was pooled with Abbeywood, Bradley Stoke, Brimsham and Marlwood and once again they dominated the opposition. Powerful tackling, quick turnover ball and agile running resulted in the team winning all four of their games.

It was the first opportunity for the majority of the Year 7 team to test their newly learnt skills as only a handful play rugby outside of school. The boys finished the tournament in good form winning two and losing two games.

Coach Jon Bowden said, “It was really encouraging to see a few boys, that have not had much rugby experience, perform to such a good standard. The boys really enjoyed themselves and conducted themselves superbly.”
