Chipping Sodbury rugby club is celebrating after receiving funding that allows all its teams wear the same kit.

The club, which has 25 RFU coaches and runs teams from 2 years old up to 17 boasts a growing membership of some 160 young people.

The Rugby Football Union offers financial support to clubs at grass roots level but Chipping Sodbury Rotary Club has helped fund the kits, which isn’t covered by RFU funding.

U13 Coach Graham Stait said, “We have been working hard with the community and teach rugby at local schools. We have run summer multi-skills fitness sessions and help out at community events whenever we can.”

Rotary President Ian Lowe said “It is inspiring to see so many youngsters of all ages getting out and involved in sport, the outdoors, exercise, teamwork”.
