BRIMSHAM Green School in Yate is hosting an event to help youngsters plan their future after leaving education.

The Apprenticeship and School Leaver Programme session will involve a number of businesses and organisations giving out information on a variety of roles in industries from banking and house building to engineering, hospitality and the legal profession.

Representatives of the NHS and armed forces will also be at the two-hour event, which starts at 4.30pm on Tuesday, March 14, and already has 35 companies signed up to take part.

A similar information day last year was a success, with more than 300 visitors going along.

A school spokesman said although Brimsham Green had organised the event, it was open to all students and young people in South Gloucestershire to attend.
