THE couple who run Stanshawe Service Station in Yate were visited by Thornbury and Yate MP Luke Hall to highlight an inquiry into Britain’s business community.
The all-party inquiry is examining the importance of the country’s everyday entrepreneurs, such as Sue and Rod Kembrey, and what they need to thrive.
As well as selling fuel, the couple also run a convenience store on the site in Westerleigh Road.
Sue said: “It was fantastic for Luke to take the time to come out and visit our store.
“It allowed him to see first-hand just how important local shops are to an area and to show him just how hard we work as retailers.”
