Chipping Sodbury Town will be looking to regain winning ways in December after a run of three defeats.

Town suffered a heavy defeat at Bridgewater Town.  1-0 down at the break, a second half brace from Jack Taylor and a late goal from Jake Llewelyn saw Chipping Sodbury return home pointless.

The loss came after defeat at home against Hallen.  Town were looking to bounce back after their disappointing 1-2 away defeat to Cleveden when they met third from bottom Hallen at the Ridings.

The writing appeared to be on the wall with the home side ahead in just 2 minutes. Sodbury forced an early corner that was directed to the back post and met by the imposing figure of defender Theo Coombs. Coombs, who joined

Sodbury from Radstock Town in the summer rose above the Hallen defence with a downward header towards goal. When the defence failed to clear their lines local lad Jon Morgan was on hand to slot home from the edge of the six-yard box.

Both sides battled for supremacy but neither was able to dominate. On 39 minutes the official refused what appeared to be a clear trip in the Hallen penalty area however he equalled things up in the second half when Hallen were denied in a similar manner.

The penalty incident may well have distracted the home side as Arron Anglin levelled the scores on 40 minutes with a simple tap in following a quick break down the left.

Hallen’s determination resulted in another goal just 9 minutes into the second half.

Sodbury failed to clear their box and left back Tom Bradley headed home from close range after what can only be described as some poor defending.

The Sods next home fixture is against league leaders Street on Saturday 2nd December at 3pm.
