Twirlers star again
The junior Yate Star Twirlers team continued their winning streak coming home with four first places at the final National Association of Majorettes England competition of 2018 held in July.
Three of the team’s routines will now represent England at the 2018 European Majorette Championships in Croatia later this year.
The juvenile team, who took part in the Pom section, just missed out on a podium position finishing in 4th place, a great achievement for their first year of competing.
Two of the troupe's trainers, Kaylee and Keeley, will also be representing England after coming second in the Senior Duet section. The team were also successful in the Strut events, winning all three Juvenile sections, third place in Peewee Basic Strut plus numerous other top 10 places.
Their final award was the coveted Best Dressed Troupe trophy. Corp director Michelle Taylor, who was delighted with teams achievements said, ‘I am so proud of each member, their journey as a team is incredible and we have all made so many lovely memories together. I wish the whole England team lots of luck at the European Championships in Croatia later this year.’
