Local Majorette troupe Yate Star Twirlers have enjoyed yet more success after they took part in the second National Association of Majorettes England competition of the year in April.

The group that represented England in last years European Championships took first place in the Junior section of the Exhibition Corp category, picked up a second place in the Parade Corp category and two third places in the Twirl Teams category.

The girls are currently training hard on several new routines and hope to perform these at the next competition in May.

Founded in 2010, the troupe is made up of girls aged from 8-20 years and is entirely funded by donations. Any local companies who wish to contribute or become a sponsor should contact michelle@yatestartwirlers.co.uk.

The group is always looking for new members and any boys or girls interested in joining should email the address above for more details.
