AN evening of music and comedy has been promised when the Ukulele Funhouse Orchestra performs in Chipping Sodbury Town Hall.

A total of 14 ukuleles will be played at the concert, along with drums and bass, together with a hand-made bass banjulele.

The instrument was popularised by George Formby and the one to feature in the concert will be played by Jake Arnott.

He made the instrument himself from a drum and a bass guitar neck and said it sounded “a little like a double bass”.

Tickets for the concert on Saturday, October 10, cost £10 and can be bought at Chipping Sodbury’s tourist information office or from the Tobacco Factory on 0117 902 0344.
