Woman cut free by firefighters after car crash in Yate

A WOMAN had to be cut free from a car after an accident in Rodford Way, Yate.

The casualty was treated at the scene by ambulance crews before being taken to hospital.

The crash involved a taxi and another car and happened by the junction with Sundridge Park shortly after midday on June 7.

An Avon Fire and Rescue service spokesperson said firefighters from three stations had been called to the crash, adding: “One woman was rescued by firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment and small gear. She was handed to ambulance crews for treatment”

A South Western Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “Our crews treated one patient at the scene, and conveyed them by ambulance to hospital for further care.”
