Yate clean-up hailed a success
Community volunteers, local residents and staff from McDonalds have collected 30 bags of litter during a clean-up of the area surrounding the Cranleigh Court Road shops.
Local residents had raised their concerns about the amount of litter and waste with MP Luke Hall, who help organise the morning of action.
McDonald’s Mike Guerin, who owns the restaurant on West Walk in Yate, said: “I was proud to see members of McDonald's staff doing their bit to help clean up Cranleigh Court Road recently. We’ve been doing litter picks in Yate for many years now and will be keeping up our good work this summer. As a business we understand the important role that we play in making the area a better place for everyone”.
Mr Hall said: “I know how important it is to keep our neighbourhoods and local communities tidy and clean. I was delighted to do my part in this Litter Pick and would like to thank McDonald’s staff and volunteers who came together to help clean up our local community.”
