BRIMSHAM Green School in Yate will lose its deputy head when Jon Bell takes up the top job at an academy in Gloucestershire.
Mr Bell, 41, has been appointed head teacher at Sir William Romney’s School in Tetbury, where he is due to pick up the reins in September.
Married with two young sons, Mr Bell started his career in the West Midlands, teaching history at schools in Solihull before moving to Brimsham Green as deputy head in 2011.
He has a special interest in developing positive attitudes to learning in order to maximise students’ achievement.  
He said: “I believe that, with a positive mindset, every child can achieve more than even they believe is possible.”
