Goalkeeper Harvey Rivers was the big winner at Yate Town’s end of season presentation night

He was the supporter’s choice as Player of the Season and was presented with The Bill Weekes Memorial Shield. Harvey also won the Player’s Player award, 

The Youth Team’s main awards went to Daniel Dempsey for manager’s choice as Sportsman of the Year, and to Joe Shutt who was voted as Youth Team Player of the Season.

Roger Hawkins was a popular winner of The W.A Febry Rosebowl, awarded for long and meritorious service to the club. Jackie Robinson, a very familiar figure to all supporters on match days, was awarded the Jordan Shield for her fund raising efforts. The Clubman of the Year Shield was presented jointly to Pete Kirby and John Lewis.

Operations Director Lawrence Wortman hosted the evening and was joined by Bristol Rovers player Ollie Clarke to present the awards.

Yate Town have confirmed they are hosting a pre-season friendly against Bristol Rovers on Saturday 8th July.

Another confirmed friendly has been arranged for Saturday 29 July when Bath City visit the Jelf Stadium, and the home pre-season matches end with a visit from local rivals Chipping Sodbury Town on Tuesday 1 August. 

A full programme of away friendlies is also being arranged prior to the Southern League season kicking off on Saturday 12 August.
