Do you like to spend time with people?

Are you caring, reliable and responsible?

Carers often find their own health and well-being is affected by the pressure of caring, so having a regular short break can make all the difference. The 'Breaks for Carers' sitting service is run by local charity Carers Support Centre and they are urgently in need of volunteers in the Yate and Chipping Sodbury area. They are looking for people who can offer 2-3 hours of their time each week, during the day to spend with a cared-for person so that the family member who cares for them can take a break.

You'll have a comprehensive induction, regular training and support. Travel expenses are paid and volunteers are provided with occasional social events. They are looking for men and women to get involved – age is no barrier, as long as you are over 18.

Carers Support Centre exists to provide support, information and advice to unpaid carers of all ages living in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
